Charlie Winegar, 60, entered into rest Thursday, April 10, 2008 after a lengthy illness at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Sullivan County, TN to the late Kelly Winegar and Mandy Thacker Winegar.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Winegar.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Winegar, Gray, TN; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Clyde Gillenwater, Gate City, VA, Gertrude and Ralph Lark, Gate City, VA, Lorene and Gene Tester, Gray, TN, Stella and Truman Calton, Gate City, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Wanda Winegar, Gate City, VA; special sister-in-law, Jill Draper, Alva, FL; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Juanita S. Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. George Willis officiating. Music will be provided by the Quillen Family.
Burial will follow the service at the Thacker Family Cemetery, Pink Hill Community. Pallbearers will be Allen Lark, Randy Lark, Terry Gillenwater, Tony Gillenwater, Chris Calton, Trevor Calton, Steven Calton and Ray Tester.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Winegar family.
