Gregory Van Williams, 60, Kingsport, TN passed away, Friday, May 3, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center
Greg was born in Sullivan County, TN on May 17, 1958 and was the son of Shirley H. and the late Billy K. Williams.
He retired from Holliston Mills after over 37 years, where he was a Leadman in the Sheeting Department.
In addition to his father, his maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne McKinney Williams, Kingsport, TN; son, Mykal Williams, Kingsport, TN; daughter, Madison McKinney, Kingsport, TN; mother, Shirley H. Williams, Mount Carmel, TN; grandchildren, Kamryn, Maggie, and Zaryia Williams; sister, Donna Goad, Church Hill, TN; a special nephew, Josh Goad; mother and father-in-law, Phyllis and Grand Hardin, Kingsport, TN; and special friends, Chad Bellamy, Eric Williams, Gary Mowdy, Suzanne Manis, Sarah McGaha, “Granny”, and Carolyn Fleenor; along with many other friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home.
The burial will follow the receiving of friends at the Wisely Cemetery, Gate City, VA with Junior Bowery officiating. Kamryn Williams, Chad Bellamy, Jeffrey Ketron, Preston Ketron, Josh Goad, and Gary Mowdy will serve as pallbearers.
