Geneva Ruth Williams, 79, Clinchport, VA passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Williams was born October 9, 1928 in Scott County, VA to the late James B. Hill and Emma Kerns Hill.
Her husband, James J. Williams; sister; Opal Welch, and brothers, Atwell; Otis; J.E.; Craig, and Tommy preceded her in death.
She is survived by sons; Dennis Jeff Williams and wife, Mitzi, Rogersville, TN, and Randall L. Williams and wife, Rita, Mt. Carmel, TN; grandchildren, Angela Michele Williams, Jason Williams, Justin Williams, Daniel R. Graves and Kenneth J. Williams; two great grandchildren, Hunter Stapleton and Haley Williams; sisters, Faye Horton, Fall Branch, TN; Geraldine Stanley, Vanzant, VA, and Ruby Bishop, Duffield, VA; brothers, Paul Hill, Lynn Garden, TN; Carl Hill, Mt. Carmel, TN, and Ben Hill, Church Hill, TN, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Otto Gibson and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Tony McGee and New Covenant will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Holston View Cemetery.
Jason Williams, Justin Williams, Kenneth J. Williams, Steve Vanzant, Wayne Bledsoe, Larry Bledsoe, Lucio Espino and Michael Wolfe will serve as pallbearers. Anthony Henry, Ben Lane, Steve Lane, Steven Lane and Jerry Wolfe will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends will be meeting at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m., Sunday to go in procession to the graveside service.
