Clell Pollard Williams, 88, of Duffield, VA passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Scott County, VA on June 16, 1932 to the late Charlie and Mary Sue (Mullins) Williams.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by several siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Rosa Lee Williams, of the home; daughter, Sharon Harless and Tommy Warwick, Kingsport, TN; sons, Roger Williams, Duffield, VA, Clell “Eugene” Williams, Duffield, VA; brother, Willard Williams, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Kristy Harless and Reva Coomer, Kimberly Williams, Kaitlyn Williams and fiancée Austin Brooks; great-grandchildren, J.C., Aubree, Parker, Samuel; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Vincent officiating. Music will be provided by Norman Sloan.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday February 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sloan Town Community Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service, please meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all visitors are asked to wear a face covering and practice the social distancing guidelines.
