William Randall Dingus

Bill Dingus – Gate City, VA

William Randall Dingus, 78, Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his residence.

Bill was born in Scott County, VA on July 30, 1945, and was the son of the late Bob and Cordia (Bishop) Dingus.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and later worked in construction as a brick layer.

In addition to his parents, several siblings preceded him in death.

Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy (Baldwin) Dingus, special son, Richard Wesley Dingus, sisters, Bobbi Jo Sanders and husband, Russell, and Sue Puckett, brother, Jim Dingus and wife, Peggy, special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ella and Billy Baldwin, two special friends, Wade White and John Greenier, along with several other family members.

Military graveside services conducted by the American Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265 of Gate City, VA is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Dingus Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA with Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 11:45 a.m., at the Dingus Cemetery for the graveside service.
