Wiley Daniel Lane, 67, Duffield, VA passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at his residence.

Wiley was born in Duffield, VA, on January 31, 1956, to the late Rettie Virginia Philips and Wiley Lane.

There was no guile in him, as he had a profound love for his family and mankind.  He was an avid outdoors man, with a love of mountains, rocks, and rivers.

In addition to his parents, his nephew, Logan Lane, and niece, Jamie Cook preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Elisa Lane; step-daughter, Kimberly “Sally” (Steven) Barnette, Duffield, VA; sisters, Judy Sergent, Eolia, KY, and Phyllis Bishop, Jasper, VA; brothers, David Lane, Kingsport, TN, Donald (Nancy) Lane, Duffield, VA, Dennis (Sarah) Lane, Clinchport, VA, and Alan (Katherin) Lane, Knoxville, TN; 3 step-grandchildren, Scottlin, Steven, and Brittany Baker; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Avery and Easton; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Wiley’s wishes were to be cremated; a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
