She was born July 29, 1932 in Scott County, VA to the late James Materson Estep and Nettie Hammonds Estep.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Wallace; great grandson, Daniel Wyrick Benton; brother, James Henry Estep.
She was a member of the Way of Life Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Wade McClellan and wife, Jamie, Kingsport, TN, Larry McClellan and wife, Alice, Kingsport, TN, Bobby A. Wallace and wife, Julie, Kingsport, TN; daughter, Mildred E. Elliott, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Lorine Harless, Kingsport, TN, Jenny Davenport and husband, Bill, Kingsport, TN, Phyllis Gibson and husband, Carlos, Gate City, VA, Sue Gibson, Kingsport, TN, Terry Davenport and husband, Leonard, Kingsport, TN, Jackie Gillenwater, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Johnny Estep and wife, Dora, Gate City, VA, Randy Estep and wife, Martha, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Tracey Wyrick, Staci Robinson and husband, Eric, Joni Elliott and fiance, Dean Montgomery, Amanda McClellan, Israel Wallace and Reece Wallace; great grandchildren, Aidan Robinson, Allie Montgomery, Kama Robinson; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her son and wife, Larry and Alice McClellan, Kingsport, TN. Services will be at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Kyle Falin and Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating. Music will be provided by Amanda McClellan, Bill and Sharon Owens and Deborah Falin.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Walnut Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Tony LaForce, Jonathan Harless, Randall Gibson, Cameron Estep, Shane Estep, Timothy Davenport, Chris Buttry, Jimmy LaForce, Eric Robinson, Sean Benton and Dean Montgomery.
