Vivian Jean (Dockery) Bradley, 78, Dungannon, VA entered her Heavenly Home, Friday, May 9, 2025, at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.

Vivian was born in Norton, VA on June 19, 1946, and was the daughter of the late James Walter and Helen Jeanette (Murphy) Summers.

Vivian was of the Baptist faith and retired from Holston Valley Medical Center in 2009 to care for her husband, Darrell.

She loved her flowers and her fur babies, especially her Riley. She took care of every animal that ever came to her house. She loved giving you anything she thought you could use. You never left her house empty handed.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, her husband and father of her children, Kermit Darrell Dockery, sister, Susie Wicks, brother, Mike Summers, her special aunt, Louise Robinette, and her best friends, Peggy Hensley and Vonda Corder preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Turner and husband, David, son, Jeremy Dockery and wife, Jody, grandchildren, Addison and Emma Begley, Veronica Hunt and husband, Shawn, Caitlyn Gillenwater and husband, Tim, Ryan Babb, and Bryan, Lillian, Serena, Slim, Alicia, and Michelle Dockery, several great grandchildren, sisters, Loretta McKean and husband, Howard, and Delores Petche and husband, Pat, brothers, Jimmy Summers and special wife, Doris, Darrell Summers, and special wife, Shelby, Everette Summers and wife, Janie, Ronnie Summers and wife, Gaylene , and Jack Summers, special niece, Rhonda (Matt) Faulkner, along with several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 4-6 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Dungannon. A Celebration of Life Service will follow with Pastor Larry Beavers officiating. Special music provided by Tim Adams.

The family wishes to convey their thanks and appreciation to her aids at NOVA, Kaitlyn, Stasia, and Maddie and Macey for their love and care given to Vivian.
