Visey I. Edens, 91, Duffield, VA, passed away August 13, 2026, at Ridgecrest Manor with her family by her side.

She was a homemaker in the Jasper community until her health started to decline. She loved flowers, friends, family, and Jesus. She loved singing about the Lord. She attended the Church of God in Gate City.

Visey was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Edens; her sons, Elmer, Lester, David Wayne, and Kenneth Edens; daughter, Vicky; son-in-law, Jay Underwood; daughter-in-law, Debbie Edens; and great grandson, Joshua Barnett.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lula Underwood of Big Stone Gap; son, Phil Edens (Crystal) of Duffield; grandchildren, Amanda Brummit (Jeff), Robin Edens (Tasha), Jerry Underwood Jr., Kellie Russell (Garry). Caleb Edens (Kristen), Sierra Jones (Ethan); and 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Edens Cemetery, Duffield, VA, with Rev. TJ Hood, and Pastor Robert Slone officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45a.m., for the graveside service.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Heritage Hall and Ridgecrest Manor for their love and care of Visey.
