Maggie Kate Vanzant, 86, of Gate City, VA passed away January 2, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Maggie was born in Scott County, VA to the late Bob A. Nuckels and Sallie (Noel) Starnes.
In addition to her parents; the father of her children, Ray Ketron; grandson, Randy Huckaby; brothers, Fred, John, Glen, Lowell, and Frank Nuckels preceded her in death.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Carol Collins, Church Hill, TN and Linda Ketron, Kingsport, TN; sister, Lona Hickman, Vevay, IN; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Benny and Kaye Mauk, Gate City, VA.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., at Gate City Funeral Home in Gate City, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Hensley and Rev. Benny Mauk officiating. Praise Duo will be providing the music.
The graveside service will follow at Sabra Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
