Tracy Lynn Young

Tracy Lynn Young, 53 of Gate City, VA, passed away peacefully June 21, 2025. at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Tracy was born February 26, 1972, in Morristown, TN to the late Earl Lynn Young and Phyllis Mae Bell Foster. He was a graduate of Cherokee High School class of 1990, and was the owner of ConTech Testing Services based out of Gate City, VA

Tracy loved UT football, spending time with his grandkids, and telling jokes to make everyone smile. To know Tracy was to love him. He never met a stranger. If you knew Tracy, you always had a friend for life.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Becky Russell Young; daughter, Stephanie and husband Cavin; son Clinton Day; mother, Phyllis Foster; sisters Michelle Foster and husband Robert, Ashley Young; brother Josh Young; grandchildren Luke, Hunter, Darcy, and Lucy; niece Brianna; step-mother Deedra Solomon Zieba; uncle Bobby Edds lifelong friends Willis Shaffer and Robbie Bentley; along with several other cousins, and many dear friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45a.m., for the graveside service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
