Tenille Marie Akers- Dungannon, VA

Tenille Marie Akers, 45, Dungannon, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her residence.

Tenille was born in Kingsport, TN, on February 15, 1980, and was the daughter of Daniel and Pamela (Dooley) Akers.

Her sister, Dolly (Michelle) Akers, and grandfather, Carlos Akers preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Charles Lane; mother and father, Daniel and Pamela (Dooley) Akers; daughter, Sierra Akers; son, Austin Lawson (Mary Elizabeth); sisters, Tashina Sawyer, Diana Akers, and Peggy Akers; brother, David Akers (Heather); grandchildren, Madeline Jean, Maverick Koe, and Mathias John Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m., Sunday July 6, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Akers #2 Cemetery, Coeburn, VA, with Robbie Dockery officiating.

Austin Lawson, David Akers, Charles Lane, Gavin Grizzle, Bracken Grizzle, and James McConnell will serve as pallbearers. Austin Lawson, David Akers, and Charles Lane will serve as honorary pallbearers.
