Carol Lee Taylor, 73, of Gate City, VA went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Carol was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 26, 1945 to the late Curtis David Easterling and Mary Belle (Harris) Easterling.
She was a member, and born-again child, of God of Greenwood Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her daughter Dinah Ray Taylor; brothers, Carl Easterling Jimmy Kilgore; brother-in-law, Herman Dotson and sister-in-law, Joan Easterling proceeded her in death.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband, Noah Edward Taylor, Jr. “Saucer”, Gate City, VA; daughter, Lisa Taylor McCracken (Mark), Nickelsville, VA; sons, Noah Edward Taylor III “Eddie” (Elizabeth), Nickelsville, VA, Russell Lee Taylor (Misty), Gate City, VA; sisters, Syble Dotson, Nickelsville, VA, Jerry Taylor (Charlie), Clinchport, VA; brothers, Roger Dale Easterling, Nickelsville, VA, David McNeil Easterling (Debbie), Nickelsville, VA; several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and her Greenwood Chapel Baptist Church family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Gate City Funeral Home in Gate City, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Donnie Archer and Brother Bill Buchanan officiating. Eddie Roberts, and Richard and Pam Howell will be providing the music.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Taylor Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA.
Cody Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Austin McCracken, Randy Jarrett, Harrison Pippin, Richard Howell, Johnny Hill, and Roger Dingus will serve as pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to go into procession to the graveside.
