John Mann, 58, Church Hill, TN passed away, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
John was born in Scott County, VA on May 31, 1961 to the late John Mann Summey and Grace (Strong) Summey.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Peggy Dean and Etta Mae Dean.
Surviving is his wife of 36 years, Shelby Summey, Church Hill, TN; daughter, Megan Summey, Church Hill, TN; sisters Nina Darnell, Midway, VA, Carolyn Darnell (Tommy), Nickelsville, VA, Wilma Dean (Ronnie), Nickelsville, VA; brothers, Jimmy Summey, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Donnie Summey, Gate City, VA, Tommy Summey (Debbie), Blountville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Mickey and Nikki Summey will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Begley Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA. His Nephews David Summey, Robert Darnell, Tommy Darnell, Jr., Cody Spears, Travis Morelock, Tony Dean, Clifford Dean, Jeff Summey, and Steven Summey will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Co-Workers of B.A.E.
