Yuma, VA ? Dorothy Marie Stump, 70, entered into rest Monday, November 10, 2008 at her daughter's residence.





She was born in Russell County, VA to the late Woodrow Wilson Ray and Lucy Gladys Harmon.





Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glyn Stump; three sisters, Helen Bragg, Earline Templeton and Billie Jean Ray; brother, Danny Lynn Ray.





She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Yuma, VA and also the former owner and operator of Mountain Empire Restaurant, Weber City, VA.





Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Sue Wade and husband, Pat, Yuma, VA, Linda Mullins Garrett, Kingsport, TN; sister, Bernice Bartley and husband, Kenneth, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Angie White and husband, Jason, Jason Wade, Michael Mullins, Miranda Mullins, Meagan Garrett; step grandson, Jared Garrett; great grandchildren, Dakota Odle, Abran White, Caden Wade, Haley Wade, Jaden Crawford, baby great granddaughter due in February; Several nieces and nephews.





The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Pat and Sue Wade. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Allen Karnes and Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Music will be provided by Pat Wade.





Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2008 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.





Pallbearers will be Jason Wade, Jason White, Jack Sanders, Michael Mullins, Grant Templeton and Ricky Bragg.





Special thanks to her hospice nurses, Kristina Somers and Renee Skelton and her friends Wanda Thomas and Marie Pullian. Family would like to thank friends for all their love and support during Ms. Stumps illness.
