Edith June Salling, 87, Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.
Edith was born in Scott County, VA on July 23, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Garvie Lee and Annie (Blair) Musick.
She attended Blair’s Chapel Church until her declining health prevented her from doing so.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Jearlene Musick, Irene Shaffer, and Betty Sue Flanary, and brother, Herchel Musick preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Cox, Kingsport, TN, sisters, Wanda Speers, Rogersville, TN, Mildred McConnell and husband, Bill, Gate City, VA, Carolyn Maddux, Gate City, VA, and Nina Brickey and husband, Warner, Weber City, VA, brothers, Edsel Musick and wife, Edna, Gate City, VA, Johnny Musick and wife, Darenda, Gate City, VA, and Willie Mack Musick and wife, LaWanda, Gate City, VA, brother-in-law, Bill Flanary, Gate City, VA, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022, in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Lawson officiating.
A private burial will be in the Strong Cemetery, Gate City, VA.
