Rufus L Edens, 70, Duffield, VA passed away from natural causes Monday, December 25, 2023, at his home.

Lester was born August 18, 1953, to Visey (Collins) and the late Rufus Tucker Edens.

In addition to his father, his brothers, Elmer Edens, and Kenneth L. Edens, and sister, Vicki Edens preceded him in death.

Lester lived his entire life in Duffield and was formerly employed with The Virginia Department of Transportation, Duffield.

He is survived by his mother, Visey Edens; son, Robin Edens and wife, Tasha, grandchildren, Austin Gregory Keen and wife, Olivia, and Zachary Gage Keen, sister, Lula Edens; brothers, Wayne, and Phil Edens; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

His wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Lester will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
