Rodger Dale Berry – Duffield, VA

Rodger Dale Berry, 75, Duffield, VA passed away, Friday, January 2, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, and is now in the presence of Jesus and his family.

Rodger was born in Scott County, VA on May 21, 1950, and was the son of the late James Henry and Billie Sue (Tyler) Berry.

Rodger never stopped being the best husband to his wife, Charlotte, Dad, Papaw, and great Papaw who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids who brought so much love and joy to his life.

He had such an upbeat personality and was a friend to many. He had a love for anything outdoors, especially fishing, camping, food, most notably fish, and collecting old trucks.

He retired from Tennessee Eastman and then opened Big Ridge Nursery and Greenhouse.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Charlotte (France) Berry, son, Bandon Berry, and sister-in-law, Brenda Berry preceded him in death.

Surviving is his son, Michael Berry and wife, Marina, daughter-in-law, Spring Berry, grandchildren, Seth Berry, Sean Berry and wife, Mariah, and Emilee Berry and partner, Will Brewster, great grandchildren, Archer Dale Berry and Lilian Charlotte Berry, sister, Rhonda Bryant and husband, Tommy, brothers, his twin with whom he shared a unique bond, Gale Berry, and Bo Berry and wife, Tammy, several nieces and nephews, and Teresa Benton, Gaynell Barker, Pam Tyler, and Missy Barker Smith and husband, Riley and children, who were so special and so good to Rodger.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Kaylor’s Chapel. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Kern officiating.

Burial will follow at the Berry Family Cemetery on Big Ridge Lane, Duffield, VA.

Michael Berry, Marina Berry, Sean Berry, Seth Berry, Wayne Berry, and Emilee Berry will serve as pallbearers.

Kevin Osborne, Edgar Hood, Gale Berry, Bo Berry, “Stack” Peters, and Mickey Keplinger will serve as honorary pallbearers.
