John Walton Robinette, 46, Duffield, VA passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Robinette was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 15, 1961 to Frank and Madge Robinette.
He was employed as a surface mine inspector with the Kentucky Department of Mines and Minerals. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Harlan Baptist Church, Harlan, Kentucky.
He is survived by his parents, Frank Leroy and Madge Green Robinette, Harlan, KY, brother, Karl Frank Robinette and wife, Deborah, Harlan, KY, nephews, Justin Robinette, Okinawa, Japan, Frank Walton Robinette, Harlan, KY and James Grant Robinette, Harlan, KY, one aunt, one uncle and his special friend, Kathy Kiser, May King, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Lee Moore, Jr. officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Robinette Cemetery in the Fairview Community of Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be meeting at the cemetery for the graveside service.
