Charlotte Sue Roberts, 74, Kingsport, TN passed away, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Sue was born in Scott County, VA on April12, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Edward Pearcy and Della Emma (Grizzle) Thorp.
In addition to her parents, her first husband, Lee Conner Roberts; 2nd husband, Thomas L. Payne; son, Johnny Clinton Roberts; sister, Janice Williams; and brothers, J.C., Grady, Ray, Cecil, Vernon, Harold, Bill, and Rick preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Davis and husband, Rick, Church Hill, TN; sons, Vernon Roberts and Angela, Kingsport, TN and Tommy Thorp, Lebanon, VA, grandchildren, Brittany Miller Royal and husband, Tracy, North Wilksboro, NC; great grandchildren, Dalton, DesiRay, Brianna, and Gracie; sister, Regina Ramey, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of her daughter, Debbie Davis and of her sister, Regina Ramey. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joe Roberts officiating. Eddie and Pam Roberts will be providing the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Bishop Cemetery, in the Bishop Town community of Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 a.m., Sunday to go in procession to the graveside service.
