Robert Wayne Hass- Duffield, VA

Robert Wayne Hass, 73, Duffield VA, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at his residence.

Robert was born in Kingsport, TN, on August 21, 1953, and was the son of the late R.C. “Banner” Hass and Carol Jeanette (Dingus) Hass Arwood.

In addition to his parents, his stepdad, Guy Arwood; granddaughter, Sophia Grace Sexton; special grandsons, Corbin and Logan Burrell; sister, Paula (Hass) Bishop; and brothers, Mike Hass and Dennis Hass preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Mary (Collins) Hass; daughters, Cindy Waldrop (Jimmy), Christina Burrell, and Tiffany Hass; sister, Shelby Tomlinson (Larry); special niece, Dawn Strickler (Tom); grandchildren, Hayley Waldrop, Shane Sexton, Kailyn Sexton, and Grayson Sexton; great granddaughter, Emberly Burrell; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 12-2p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Ray Dockery officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
