Robert Dwain Clark- Jonesborough, TN
Robert Dwain Clark, 52, Jonesborough, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at UT Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones after battling a brief illness.
Robert was born in Washington County, TN, on June 21, 1973, and was the son of Robert Clark and Karen (Murr) Pennington.
Robert was a hardworking man. He would work from dusk until dawn to provide for his family. He was also gentle and cared for everyone he knew. He would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. He thrived to work hard everyday and loved his children more than anything in the world.
Preceding Robert in death are his grandparents, and a special aunt, Lorrie Williams.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Karen Murr Pennington; father, Robert Clark (momma Kathy); son, Robert Clark; daughter, Madison Clark Pennington; brothers, Michael (Hilda) Clark, Charlie (Heather) Clark, and Glenn Oaks Jr.; sisters, Mikala Clark (Douglas), Krystal Oaks (Bill), Cynthia (Rick) Ramey, Missy (Todd) Blair, Sherrie Woods, Belinda Clemons, Rachael (William) King; special niece, Madison Roberts; and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at any time at the home of Robert and Kathy Clark and from 5-7p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Jerry Smith and Bryant Collins officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Clark Family Cemetery, Gate City, VA. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:15a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
Ben Clark, Sr., Sam Stevens, Michael Clark, Charlie Clark, Allen Williams, Robert Clark, and James Harkleroad will serve as pallbearers.
