Paul Rhoton,85, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Wexford House, Kingsport, TN.
Paul was born in the Canton Community of Scott County, VA on September 15, 1934 to the late Emmet and Emmer Bowen Rhoton. He graduated from Fairview High school in 1953.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Erma Kate McCrabb and his half-sister, Nancy Bledsoe preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brother, Henry (H. Rhoton); sisters, Nora Bailey, Winnie Fowler; half-sister, Janet Bledsoe; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jackie Frazier officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the Bowen Cemetery in the Pattonsville Community of Duffield, VA. Nephews and Friends will serve as pallbearers. R.C. Tomlinson and Clifford Bledsoe will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the Bowen Cemetery for the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Bowen Cemetery Upkeep Fund, c/o Joann Bowen, 1484 Pattonsville Rd, Duffield, VA 24244.
