She was born in Scott County, VA February 10, 1948 to the late William and Martha Edens.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Rhoten, November 22, 2004 and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Connie and John Odham, Marion, VA, Tammy Rhoten, Pennington Gap, VA and Angela Rhoten, Gate City, VA; son, James Rhoten and fiance, Heather Dougherty, Gate City, VA; brother, George Edens, Jasper, VA; grandchildren, John, Amanda Odham, Miliah, Nathaniel Rhoten, Gracey Rhoten; great grandson, Aiden Odham; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Argoe.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Pallbearers will be James Rhoten, John Odham, Sr., John Odham, Jr., and Ricky Edens.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Rhoten family.
