Ft. Blackmore, VA ? Maxine Turner Quillen, 74, entered into rest December 12, 2007 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1933 to the late Canary Turner and Elsie Owens Turner. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Quillen. Survivors include one husband, Osta A. Quillen, Jr., Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Terry Dishner, Duffield, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Audie and Kay Quillen, Weber City, VA; sisters, Ima Hillman and Mary Ruth Gray, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Tara Dishner Sturgill and husband Will, and Meghan Dishner; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home with Rev. Richie Neese and Rev. Ed Blair officiating. Music will be provided by Richie Neese. Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
