Enoch Qualls Kingsport, TN ? Enoch Radford Qualls, 78, entered into rest Friday, April 11, 2008 to be with his loving Father.

He was born in Scott County, VA March 14, 1930 to the late Absolom Benjamin Qualls and Flara Belle Bishop Qualls. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Beada E. Lane, Blanche E. Davidson and Irene B. Williams; an infant brother, Eugene Oscar Qualls; half sisters, Maude Pardue and Elizabeth Dishner; half brothers, E.D. Qualls, Jesse Qualls and Bill Qualls.

Mr. Qualls graduated from Rye Cove High School in 1950. After graduating, he went into the U.S. Army and was in the 101st Airborne Division, Camp Breckin Ridge, KY, then became a football coach with Rye Cove High School.

He worked at the Kingsport Press and was an avid farmer. He was the owner and operator of the 4-A Bait Shop, which was the number of his grandchildren whose names all started with the letter A. He was a loving son, brother, and papaw to his special grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved and adored. He was a member of the Sunday Class, the Messengers where he attended church at the First Assembly of God. He loved to study the Bible and enjoyed having Revivals and singing in Clinchport, VA.

Survivors include his brother, Ralph and wife, Patsy Qualls, Clinchport, VA; sister, Jamie Mildred Qualls and husband, John, Clinchport, VA; grandchildren, Angela Ann Hinkle and fiance, Ricky Hutson, Ashley Lynn Hinkle Honaker and husband, Chaz, Amber Nicole Hinkle and Austin Terry Hinkle; great grandchildren, Tyler Gage Doran, Tanner Leland Hutson and Cadance Brooke Honaker; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Music will be provided by The Browders.

Military graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the VA Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN with the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 and the VA Army National Honor Guard. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Bowen, Tim Bowen, John Qualls, Ricky Hutson, Terry Hinkle and Austin Hinkle.

Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Qualls family.
