Phyllis Carol Kilgore – Kingsport, TN

Phyllis Carol Kilgore, 80, Kingsport, TN, passed away at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

Phyllis was born in Dante, VA, on November 4, 1944, to the late Homer Kyle and Frazetta Elzema (Hurd) Lambert.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, her sister, Lavonda Chapman and her brother, Orbin Blane Lambert preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Mack Ronald Kilgore; daughters, Teresa Anderson, Jennifer Valentine (Johnny); son, Monte Powers; sisters, Mae Magaline Hale, Shirley Stevens, Judy Lunsford; brother, Robert Kyle Lambert (Patsy); grandchildren, Shauna King, Laiken Dupes (Alan), Kassie Huffman (Luke); great grandchildren, Hayden, Gemma, Blu, Haleigh, Railey and Kamden; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Eulogy by Mark Trent.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Cox Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the Cox Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA at 10:45 a.m., Monday for the graveside service.
