Clarence Eugene Pendleton passed away Monday July 15, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Scott County, Virginia on May 9, 1935 to the late
Isaac Arlo and Norma Hester (France) Pendleton.

In addition to his parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters preceded him in death.

He retired from Holston Defense after 29 years of service.

He taught bible study at Tiptons Chapel and Gate City First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his loving family; wife, Betty Jean Bellamy Pendleton; daughters, Cindy Pendleton Williams and husband Steve, Michelle Pendleton Clark and husband Lee; grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Steven Williams, Dalton Clark, Dillon Clark; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Bella; brothers, Olin Pendleton and wife Eula, Rayford Pendleton and wife Martha; sister, Claudia Byrd; honorary brother, Roger Morrison and wife Linda; along with several nieces and nephews.

His faith and love of God were known by all who met him.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00PM in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mike Gilliam, and Rev. Jeff Casteel. Ronnie Tipton and Nancy Peters will provide music

Military graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA conducted by, the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265, Gate City, VA. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
