Charles Vaughn Pendleton, 68 of Gate City, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Sullivan County, TN on September 11, 1950 to the late Joseph Earl and Mary Ruth “Myrtle” Hall Pendleton.

Charles is survived by his best friend and son, Jason Pendleton and fiancée, Amy Bowery, Rogersville, TN; sister, Dovenia Osborne and husband, Wayne, Gate City, VA; brothers, Bobby Pendleton and wife, Joyce, Blountville, TN, Wayne Pendleton and wife, Judy, Gate City, VA; nephews, Bobby Pendleton II, Greg Osborne, Brandon Jones; niece, Cindy Cantrill; mother of Jason, Jackie Pendleton, Church Hill, TN along with his special friend, Rick Beavers, Kingsport, TN, and his Food City Buddies.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Greg Fletcher officiating

Burial will follow the service Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Carter Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
