Peggy Jo Quillen- Fort Blackmore, VA

Peggy Jo Quillen, 80, Fort Blackmore, VA, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Peggy was born on October 4, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Joe Bill and Lucinda (Oaks) Gillenwater.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Wayne Quillen; and brothers, Doug Gillenwater (Hazel), Grant Gillenwater, and Billy Gillenwater preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tony Quillen (Sandy); daughter, Lisa Wells; sister, Tina Bailey (Brady); grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Quillen, Whitney Ramey (Justin), and Daniel Wells (Amanda); great grandchildren, Gabe and Izzy Kilgore, and Noah and Raelyn Wells; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m., Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home, and at any time at the home of her daughter, Lisa Wells.  Services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Duncan and Rev. Samuel Newland officiating. Chris Holder will provide the music.

Graveside services will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Scott Gillenwater, Logan Quillen, Daniel Wells, Gabriel Kilgore, Lee Gillenwater, and Tony Quillen will serve as pallbearers.
