Pamela (Bledsoe) Pierson – Gate City, VA
Pamela Cecile (Bledsoe) Pierson of Gate City, VA became another one of God’s chosen angels after putting up a very valiant fight against cancer on July 7, 2026.
Born April 25, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Ralph (Jake) and Dorothy Coleen (Smith) Bledsoe.
She passed 107 days short of her 53rd wedding anniversary to husband, Hobert Glen Pierson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Stephen A. Pierson and wife Hope, daughter, Stesha A. Varner and husband, Scott, grandsons, Austin Pierson and Conrad Hufnagle, step grandchildren, Brettney, Jules, and Justus, step great grandchildren, Caspian, Flora, Willow, Ivy, Knox, Eden, and Collie, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Pamela never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a kind heart, a warm smile, and a gentle spirit that made others feel welcome. Her strength, grace, and unwavering faith carried her through life’s challenges, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and treasured memories.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Phil Kidd and Rev. David Hodges officiating. Debbie Greene, and Angie Stewart and Anna Manis will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2026, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered prayers, love, encouragement, and support throughout Pamela’s illness. Your kindness and well wishes meant more than words can express.
