Pamela Barker Elkins – Kingsport, TN

Pamela “Pam” Kay (Barker) Elkins, 57, Kingsport, TN passed away, Friday, June 6, 2025, at her residence.

Pam was born in Kingsport, TN on December 28, 1967, and was the daughter of the late Shelburne Henry and Gladys (Scalf) Barker.

In addition to her parents, her maternal grandparents, Ransome and Nella Marie (Bledsoe) Scalf, paternal grandparents, James L. and Rosa (Carter) Barker, her father-in-law, Larry Allen Elkins, step father-in-law, Hascal Lane, and cousin, Steve Neeley preceded her in death.

She was a loving wife, mother, cousin, and friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Allen Elkins, son, Jacob Allen Elkins and girlfriend, Caitlin Morrison, mother-in-law, Rebecca Elkins, special first cousins, Robin, Julie, Ginger, Beverly, Tracey, Carla, Tonja, and Trois, known as the “first cousin group text girls”, sisters-in-law, Malynda, Tammy Shirey, and Dawn (Billy) Evans, nephew, Brandon (Harlie) Evans, and niece, Rebekah Evans.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Bob Underwood officiating.
