William L. “Bill” Osborne, 90, Dungannon, VA passed away, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Bill was born in Scott County, VA and was the son of the late Lemuel Bart “L.B.” and Ella Osborne.
He was veteran of the Unites States Army, a Master Mason with the Fincastle Masonic Lodge #33, Dungannon, VA, and was retired from the Scott County School System where he taught Science and Chemistry at Dungannon High School and later at Twin Springs High School.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Joyce Evelyn (Carter) Osborne; sister, Evelyn Osborne Hawkins; and brothers, Fred, Stuart, and Paul Osborne preceded him in death.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Ruth Osborne Watts and Helen Osborne Smith, both of Portsmouth, VA; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Masonic services only will be conducted at1:30 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home by the Fincastle Masonic Lodge #33, Dungannon, VA Officiating.
Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Rev. Steve Collins and Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. Gail McConnell, Gary Dingus, David Carter, Freddy Collins, Bill Watts, and Carson Hill will serve as pallbearers.
