Dallas Musick, 80, entered into rest January 23, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Russell County, VA on May 14, 1927 to the late Edgar Musick and Florence Gibson Musick.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Hall;four sisters and one brother.
Surviving is his wife, Eva Nell Musick of the home; a daughter, Susan Musick of Anderson, SC; one son, Eddie Musick, Taylor Town, VA, grandchildren, Keith and Shane Hall and Johnathon and Tonya Kane; great grandchildren, Kattie Louise and Avery Hall; brothers and sisters, Madge, Murtle, Carolyn, Carol, Guy and Clyde along with many nieces and nephews, and we all long to be reunited with Dallas one day in Heaven.
Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his son, Eddie Musick. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Taylor and Rev. G.W. White officiating. Janice and Fay Porter will provide music.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2008 in Elliott Cemetery, Taylor Town, VA. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will be meeting at 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the graveside service. Incase of inclement weather, the committal service for Mr. Musick will be held at the funeral home.
