Millard Stanley – Duffield, VA

George Millard Stanley, 77, passed away, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Millard was born in Clinchport, VA on February 16, 1949, and was the son of the late James Henry and Zelma Ruth (Kern) Stanley.

He retired from the Auto Industry in Indiana and returned to Scott County where he lived his life to the fullest.

In addition to his parents, his wife Una (Bishop) Stanley (2017), son, James Millard Stanley, and several siblings preceded him in death.

Surviving is his daughter, Sheila Smith, son, Justin S. Stanley, Several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother, Carl Stanley and wife, Ruth, along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

It was the wish of Millard to be cremated with no formal services.
