Melissa Devone (Stone) Mitchell

Melissa (Stone) Mitchell, 60, Dungannon, VA passed away, Monday, October 30, 2023, at her residence .

Melissa was born in Duffield, VA on December 20, 1962, and was the daughter of Jake Stone Jr. and  Margaret Stone

 Preceding her in death are her husband, Hershell James Mitchell Sr., and stepson, David Juell Mitchell.

Melissa is survived by sons, Andy Stone, Dungannon, VA, Matt Stone, Dungannon, VA, and Jackie Perry, Dungannon, VA; daughter, Rachel Stone, Dungannon, VA; granddaughters Hannah and Emmaleigh Stone; grandson, Brady Mitchell ; sisters Pat (David) Jessee, Kingsport, TN. Kathy Grills, Bristol, TN, and Gina “The Boss” (Mark) Dunn, Gray TN, along with several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Mitchell and Salyers Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA with Rev. James Mann officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends are asked to meet at the Mitchell and Salyers Cemetery at 1:45 p.m., Thursday for the graveside service.
