Martha Ellen (Darnell) McConnell, 90, Gate City, VA passed away, Monday, May 31, 2021, at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.
Martha was born in Sullivan County, TN on June 2, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Conley and Minnie (Starnes) Darnell.
In addition to her parents, her husband, H.L. McConnell (2020), sister Fay (Darnell) Stallard; and brothers, Charles, Roy, Denny, and Carl Darnell preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti McConnell, and Matt Rappaport; a special niece, Margaret Holliman; along with several nieces, nephews, and family members.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends are asked to meet at Holston View at 10:45 a.m., Thursday for the graveside services.
