Bart L. McConnell, 55, passed away on June 9, 2018 after a long battle with illness.
He spent most of his life in the Daniel Boone community of Virginia. He was an admired man and well-liked by many.
Bart was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on March 28, 1963 to the late, Wayne and Sandra McConnell. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and several other family members.
Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Kathleen McConnell; step-sons and spouses Louis Foxworth Jr. and wife Kandi and their son Damian, and Christopher Foxworth and wife Tamara and their son Dean; sister Cathy Ellington and husband Scott; niece Maggie; nephew Luke; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Daniel Boone Community Baptist Church in Gate City, Virginia on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Debord officiating.
Burial will immediately follow the service in the McConnell Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
