Sharon “Sissy” McCarty, age 57, went to rest in the sweet arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Sharon loved, cared, and welcomed all with open arms.
Sharon was born on January 13, 1961 to the late Lawrence (Bob) and Mildred McConnell Frazier. She is also preceded in death by her son, Travis McCarty, along with her grandparents, Corbet and Orpha McConnell and Lillian Frazier
She had a heart of gold and loved to craft with her sweet baby Layla sleeping by her side. She loved to travel to the beach with her family and friends, received great joy from doing craft shows with her sister, Lisa, and enjoyed teaching her Doodlebug, Makayla, how find all of the best sales. Her heart and her love belonged to her husband, of 37 years, Jeff.
Her survivors include her loving husband Jeff, her sister Lisa Frazier and brother-in-law Guy Garland; brother Eddie and sister-in-law Carolyn Frazier; niece Makayla and husband Mario Jaramillo; nephew Austin Frazier and special friends Rhonda and David Hood
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Gate City Funeral Home from 6:00-7:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow. Jacob Crawford will be delivering a eulogy.
