Mary Ethel Stanley, 65., Duffield, VA passed away, Friday, May 10, 2024.

Mary was born in Scott County, VA on December 25, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Robert Omer and Linda Elizabeth (Stanley) Hilton.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

She had a profound love for her family, children, and animals. She was a hard-working woman, and friend who would bend over backwards to help anyone in need. 

She was a CNA caregiver for 41 years, touching many lives throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Robert Kyle Hilton preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Benny Wayne Stanley, Sr., daughter Barbara Denise (Sissy) Burke and husband, Charles Jason, son, Benny Wayne (Tootle) Stanley, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, grandchildren, Jacob Stanley and wife, Molly, Shawn Stanley, Brandon Carico, and Tiffany Burke, great grandchildren, Lakelyn and Grayson Stanley, her special cousin, Toby Hilton, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Scott Jerrell officiating.

It was the wish of Mary to be cremated.
