Mary Ellen (Dixon) Isaacs, 90, passed away, Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Mary was born on August 26, 1934, and was the daughter of the late James Howard and Marjorie Loretta (Bond) Dixon.

In addition to her parents, her husband, George Francis Isaacs, her brother, James Henry Dixon, and a son-in-law, Ricky Robinson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Violet (Jeff) Shelton and Sherry Robinson, sons, James “Jimmy” (Brenda) Isaacs, Paul (Jeri) Isaacs, and Gail Isaacs, her baby sister, Libby Thompson, half-brother, Michael Gold, beloved sisters-in-law, Nancy Smith and Carol Dixon, and her cousin and best friend, Loretta Joplin, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Steve Collins officiating. Brenda Isaacs will provide the music.

Burial will follow at the Nickelsville Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Family, Friends, and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Our family would like to thank Mom and Dad’s caretaker, our sweet, precious Hope Hatfield for the love and exemplary care you gave Mom and Dad. You are a Godsend to our family.
