Mark Chapman, 62, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. 

Mark was born on November 1, 1961, to Hugh Augustine and Nancy Dougherty Chapman. 

Mark received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from ETSU and then joined his father and brother in the day-to-day operations of Chapman Construction Company which he and his brother, Howell, continued to operate together until 2005.

He is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Nancy Chapman; uncles, Lloyd (Joe) Chapman and Richard Chapman; cousin, Richard (Ricky) Chapman; grandparents, Leland and Mae Dougherty, and Lloyd and Mozella Chapman. 

He is survived by his daughter, Jordin Grace Chapman; brothers, Martin Chapman, and Howell (Lynn) Chapman; uncle, Harry Dougherty; niece, Amanda Chapman, and nephew, Brandon Chapman; cousins, Ron (Sandy) Chapman, Craig (Debbie) Chapman, and Susan (Wayne) Skeen; and the mother of his daughter, Frances Chapman. 

The family will have a private visitation and funeral service.
