Marilyn Joyce Marshall- Nickelsville, VA

Joyce Marshall, 82, Nickelsville, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her residence. 

Joyce was born in Scott County, VA, on October 28, 1941, to the late Isaac Wayland Dingus and Mabel Beatrice Lawson Dingus. 

Along with her parents, her husband, Bobby Martin Marshall; daughter, Becky Marshall; and brother Wayne Dingus preceded her in death. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle Roach (Travis); brother, Larry Dingus; grandchildren, Jessica Graves, Daniel Roach (Lisa), and Travis Lee Roach II; great- grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia, Mykala Cheyanne, DJ, Aiden, and Callie; sister-in-law, Bea Dingus; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Arville Dingus officiating. David and Debbie Easterling will provide the music. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Temple Hill Cemetery, Castlewood, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45a.m., for the graveside service. 

Travis Roach, Travis Lee Roach II, Daniel Roach, Lowell Marshall, Walter Manis, and Yasen Manis will serve as pallbearers.
