David Michael Mann – Ft. Blackmore, VA
David Michael Mann, 62, Ft Blackmore, VA passed away, Monday, June 10, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
David was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 16, 1956 and was the son of the late Elmer Walter and Nannie Marie (Dorton) Mann.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Charles Osborne and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Mann preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Osborne, Dungannon, VA and Martha Jane Vanzant and husband, Lee, Jonesville, VA; brothers, Phillip E. Mann and ex-wife, Brenda Mann, Rev. James H. Mann and wife, Alice, and Larry J. Mann, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA; fiancé, Pattie Goode. Nickelsville, VA; special brother, Ronnie Starnes, along with several nieces and nephew.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Terry Rhoton and Rev. Wayne Stallard officiating. J. R. Davidson and Chris Holder and Journey Home will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Mann Begley Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
