Lillian Nancy Salling, 80, Duffield, VA passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Nancy was born in Fort Blackmore, VA on February 23, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Charles Patrick and Callie Melinda (Flanary) Jones.

IN addition to her parents, her brothers, Coy Lee Jones, James “Jim” Jones, and twin infant brothers, Paul Jones and Sam Jones preceded her in death.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Robin Kern and husband, Jeff, son, David Salling, grandchildren, Derek Kern (Amanda), Kayla Farthing and husband, Justin, Melinda Kern (Derek), Christopher Salling, and Sarah Kern (Justin), great grandchildren, Beatrice Farthing and Rupert Farthing, a special nephew, Jackie Lee Jones and wife, Melissa, special cousins, Mildred Lane and Jeanette Salling, her lifetime friends, Emogene Quillen and Jeana Stoker.
