Lawton Ryland Frazier – Fort Blackmore, VA

Lawton R. Frazier, 89, Fort Blackmore, VA entered into rest, Sunday, October 13, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Lawton was born in Scott County, VA on September 9, 1935, to the late William Caner and Sad Frazier.

In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Gracie Frazier, 3 sisters, Alice Darnell, Polly Darnell, Joella Carter, 1 brother, Howard Frazier, 1 daughter, Peggy Frazier, and a loving son-in-law, James Danny Dockery.

Lawton is survived by his daughters, Judy Frazier, Patsy Dockery, Tammie and David Estep, 1 son, Roger Frazier, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA; two sisters, Emily Manis, Surgoinsville, TN, Ruth Frazier, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Hunter Frazier, Mark and Tabby Dingus, J.R. and Brandy Dockery; granddaughters, Karen Carter, Renea and Kimberly; 4 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Denny Hass and Robbie Dockery officiating. Denny and Donna Hass will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00am, Friday, October 18, 2024, at The Taylor Family Cemetery, Taylor Town in the Rye Cove Community of Scott County, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and Friends are asked to meet at 10:15am on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the funeral home to go in procession to the Graveside Service.
