Mrs. Nina Marie Lawson, 76, Plains, GA and formerly of Scott County, VA passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center.
Nina was born in Scott County, VA on June 22, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Pat H. and Annie Marie (Blevins) Lawson, Sr.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Bernice Dooley, Mildred Hipps, and Ruth DeFreece, and brothers, Pat H. Lawson, Jr., Rhea Lawson, and Hubert Lawson.
She is survived by her son, Robbie and Ann Mathes, Kingsport, TN, daughter, Lisa and Rodolfo Hureta, Plains, GA, brothers, Fred (Margaret) Lawson, Cleveland, OH, Paul and Jean Lawson, Roger and Sandy Lawson, and Ronnie and Peggy Lawson, all of Ft. Blackmore, VA, sisters, Opal Horne, Weber City, VA, Wanda and Allen Berry, Mount Carmel, TN, Margie Smith, Weber City, VA, Connie Lawson, Gate City, VA, grandchildren, Alicia Hureta, Brandon Mathes, and Haley Mathes, great grandchildren, Kaley, Weston, and Bo Mathes, along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
