Gary Ray Lawson, 64, Gate City, VA passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his residence.
Gary was born in St. Paul, VA on August 19, 1954, and was the son of the late Albert and Belva (Hamilton) Lawson.
His father-in-law, Floyd Salyer preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Donna Lawson, Gate City, VA; son, Garrison Lawson, Gate City, VA; very special grandson, Austin Lawson; sister, Kimberly Laughlin; brother, Glen Lawson; nieces, Jessica Chancey, Ashley Boggs, and Jordan Dockery; 7 great nieces and nephews, special people in his life, mother-in-law, Shirley Salyer and sister-in-law, Veronica Salyer; and special friends, Robert Boggs and Debra Fawbush, and Brian Lambert.
The visitation will be conducted from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Steve Collins officiating.
The burial will follow at the Hillman Vicars Dingus Salyer Cemetery, McConnell Hollow Road, Nickelsville, VA.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
