Weber City, VA ? Frances Lee Keith, 81, entered into rest Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Scott County, VA May 9, 1927 to the late Charles W. Nickels and Lillie Fleenor.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Keith and a sister, Joan (Jody) Nickels Lewis.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Keith Houser and husband, Gary, Asheville, NC, Janet Keith Hensley and husband, Mike, Gate City, VA, Kathy Keith Skeens and husband, Rick, Weber City, VA; son, Jimmy Keith, Church Hill, TN; sister, Mary Ruth Wolfe and husband, Roy V., Gate City, VA; brother, Charles W. Nickels, Jr. and wife, Jane, Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Julie Quillen Townsend and husband, Ben, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Laura Quillen, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Katie Hensley, Gate City, VA, Dustin Collier, Lindsey Collier and Ashley Collier, Weber City, VA; brother-in-law, Bob Lewis, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joe Barber and Dr. Bob Lynch officiating. Music will be provided by Judy McConnell.
Graveside services will be conducted by Rev. John Shepard and Dr. Bob Lynch at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Nick Wolfe, R.V. Wolfe, Barry McConnell, Eddie McConnell, Bill Quillen, Dustin Collier, and Boyd Lewis will serve as pallbearers. Darnell McConnell, Bob Lewis, Roy V. Wolfe, Taze Farmer, Joe Fuller, Jim Whiten, Tucker Barker, Carl Keith and Billy Ray Keith will serve as honorary pallbearers.
