Joyce Faye Dockery- Gate City, VA

Joyce Faye Dockery, 74, Gate City, VA, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her residence.

Joyce was born in Kingsport, TN, on October 3, 1951, and was the daughter of the late James Harvey Tipton and Lillie Estil (Bishop) Tipton.

In addition to her parents, several sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and a great-granddaughter preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmy Dockery; children, David Dockery (Tammy), Anthoy Dockery, Tonya Sanders (Scott), and Marvin Dockery (Deb); 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA, with Dr. Todd Cassel officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45a.m., for the graveside service.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Todd Cassel, Clinch River Health Services in Dungannon, VA and Caris Healthcare for their love and care for Joyce.
